The controversy emerges as President TRUMP granted TikTok a 90-day reprieve from a potential U.S. ban—a decision Sherman contends violates statutory limitations on extensions. While the TRUMP meme coin wasn't explicitly named in Sherman's accusation, the incident highlights growing political scrutiny of cryptocurrency's intersection with geopolitical tensions.
